WTS Scholarship

Kwan Hui

The 2011 Women’s Transportation Seminar Helen M. Overly Memorial Scholarship award (WTS), co-sponsored by UTRC, was given to Kwan Hui from Rutgers University. Ms. Hui is enrolled in City and Regional Planning program at the Bloustein School of Public Policy and Planning concentrating in Housing and Transportation. After graduation, Kwan hopes to begin her career as a transit planner and pursue a Ph.D. in the near future. She earned her BA in Political Science and Urban Studies at Rutgers University.

Elisabeth Wooton

Elisabeth Wooton was awarded the Women’s Transportation Seminar Helen M. Overly Memorial Schloarship which is co-sponsored by UTRC. Dr. Alison Conway, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at CCNY, presented Ms. Wooton with her award during the WTS Greater New York Chapter’s Annual Gala. Ms. Wooton is working towards her Master of Urban Planning at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service and has worked as a City Planner for the MTA NYCT Department of Subways and most recently has taken a position in the NYCT’s Office of the President.

Mei Chen

Mei Chen's involvement with transportation started when she entered the graduate program of Transportation Engineering at Southwest Jiatong University in 1989. After she got her Master’s Degree in Transportation in 1992, she stayed on at the University as a lecturer in Department of Transportation Engineering, where she taught Introduction to Transportation Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, and Urban Light Rail Systems.
