P.N. Balaguru, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor of civil engineering at Rutgers. He served as graduate director for six years and undergraduate director for 15 years and has directed 30 Ph.D. and M.S. candidates dissertations. Pier Marzocca received the Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering in 2001 from Politecnico di Torino in Italy. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, Clarkson University, USA. Professor Aboutaha is an associate professor of civil engineering at Syracuse University. After graduating from Beirut Arab University in 1981, he worked for over seven years in the construction industry. He then went on to receiving both his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 & 1994, respectively. He began his teaching career at Georgia Tech, and joined the faculty at Syracuse University in 1998. In 2002, he was elected Fellow of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
