Alok Baveja

Alok Baveja, Ph.D., is a professor of management at the Rutgers' School of Business in Camden, N.J. His expertise is in the use of innovative modeling and technologies for public and private sector managing operations. Baveja's research has appeared in many journals, including Mathematics of Operations Research; IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics; and the Transportation Research Record. He has also published a bestseller reprint in the Harvard Business School's case series and currently serves as an associate editor for Socio-Economic Planning Sciences. Baveja's research has been funded by a number of high-level organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Justice, the British Council, and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. In 2012,

Baveja received Rutgers' highest teaching honor, the Warren I. Susman for Excellence in Teaching Award; he also received the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award for Distinguished Teaching the same year. Baveja is also a four-time recipient of the School of Business Teaching Award and is a cofounder of a nonprofit organization that provides technical, planning, and financial assistance for rural/women empowerment programs in developing countries.
