Okira Sangare

Okira Sangare is a dedicated and versatile professional with a Bachelor's degree from New York University. Okira has a diverse range of skills and experiences, spanning administrative support, project management, human resources, and marketing. Her skill set encompasses event management, data entry, team leadership, marketing strategy, and project coordination. 

Dr. Yiqiao Li

Yiqiao Li is an assistant professor of Civil Engineering at the City College of New York (CCNY). Prior to joining CCNY, she worked as this an Assistant Project Scientist at the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California Irvine (ITS- Irvine). 

Jerry He

Jerry He manages research at CCNY’s University Transportation Research Center (UTRC) and Center for Social and Economic Mobility for People and Communities through Transportation (SEMPACT), the USDOT Region 2 UTC covering the New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands regions.

Bahman Moghimi

In Fall 2015, UTRC welcomed a new Ph.D. student in the CCNY Transportation program and a research assistant at UTRC; Bahman Moghimi. Mr. Moghimi was a first-ranked graduate student at the Iran University of Science and Technology. He also received his master’s degree in Transportation Engeineering from the Northeastern University in Boston. He was awarded the the Dean’s Fellowship for the year 2013-2014.

Dr. Mahdieh Allahviranloo

Mahdieh Allahviranloo is Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, The City College of New York. 

She is currently working on mining and clustering activity pattern trajectories, data visualization and network modeling under extreme modeling.

Sabiheh Faghih

Ms. Sabiheh Faghih has received her M.S. in Transportation Engineering on January 2012 from Sharif University of Technology, and has been admitted to our Ph.D. program through an extremely competitive selection process. Ms. Faghih’s record in transportation modeling and analysis has been outstanding. Advanced and cutting-edge research in these areas is urgently needed to advance our knowledge on modeling traffic, network analysis, and travel behavior to better manage our transportation systems.

Tierra Fisher

Tierra Fisher has joined UTRC as an Office Assistant . She is no stranger to this position however, as for 4 years she worked as an Offi ce Assistant at Virginia Union University while a student there.

Dr. Ellen Thorson

Ellen Thorson joined UTRC's staff in 2005. She has over seven years of experience working as a consultant for government agencies as well as private companies, primarily in the areas of freight and passenger transportation demand modeling. She has a doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
