Dr. Anil Yazici

Dr. Yazici’s research interests are urban data analytics and smart cities, transportation safety/security, intelligent transportation systems, and transportation network analysis. Dr. Yazici has worked on various research projects funded by NYSDOT, NYSERDA, NYCDOT, NJDOT, USDOT, RITA, FHWA, MTA-NYCT, and U.S. Homeland Security; the topics covering transportation safety and security (particularly emergency evacuation management and incident management), intelligent transportation systems (ITS), transportation network and demand analysis, traffic operations, transportation economics, and use of advanced technologies in transportation. He was the project manager for “On-the-Go Smart Travel Stations” project which received the 2012 ITS-NY Outstanding Project of the Year Award for its highly innovative Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) approach for public transportation. Dr. Yazici also received the Outstanding Student Award from New Jersey Department of Transportation Bureau of Research and Departmental Service Award from Rutgers University Civil & Environmental Engineering Department.
